Biomerics has launched its new Quadrathane line of polycarbonate-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) biomaterials, designed for long-term implantable medical devices. Available in aliphatic (ALC) and aromatic (ARC) formulations, these materials offer biocompatibility, biostability, and pass ISO 10993 and USP Class VI testing. The ALC grades feature non-yellowing, body-softening properties ideal for catheters, while ARC grades offer toughness and chemical resistance for orthopedic and vascular access devices. Quadrathane is customizable and compatible with various manufacturing processes. The launch strengthens Biomerics’ position in advanced biomedical polymers.
